Fall is a time when there is plenty to do in the Ozarks where you can get out and enjoy the mild weather and beautiful scenery! Here are just a few things going on around here this weekend:
Hootin’an Hollarin' Days, Gainesville
6 p.m.-9 p.m. Sept. 20; 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sept. 21; 8 a.m.-10p.m. on the Gainesville Square. This annual three-day event that features everything from turtle races to outhouse races and everything that makes celebrating the Ozarks fun. There will be plenty of live music, crafts, food, contests and games.
Noon-10p.m. Sept. 21 and 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Sept. 22, downtown Marionville. There will be crafts, food, retail booths, live music and a free carnival for kids. A parade starts at 10 a.m. Sept. 22, followed by a car show, a slew of contests including a husband-calling contest and fireworks.
Billings Fall Harvest
9 a.m.-5p.m. Sept. 22, throughout Billings. A day of shopping, food, music, antiques and more.
Fall onthe Frisco
8a.m.-3:30 p.m. Sept. 22, downtown Jackson Street, Willard. Arts/crafts vendors, food trucks, bounce houses, live music, dog costume contest, ComicCon hero and villain walk, beer garden and more. Free admission.
9th Annual Meadfest, 7C's Winery
Noon-6p.m. Sept. 23, 7Cs Winery, 502 E. 560th Road, Walnut Grove. This medieval celebration will include competitions, recreations and living history. Bring the family and enjoy the fun. Free wine and mead tasting. Free admission.
