Kitchen Design No Nos

Are you thinking of building your new home? Or maybe you're wanting to renovate! If your kitchen is the new project, below are a few design don'ts that you'll want to keep in mind.

  1. Stay away from the triangle- the "working triangle" was designed in the 1950s to sell cabinetry. Today this design is not as efficient, especially for entertaining.

  2. Don't design for one- Even if you live alone there is always space to entertain. Also, if you decide to sell in the future a bigger kitchen will help.

  3. Don't forget the storage- while having a double stove is nice, is it more useful than cabinet space? In some cases, more can be better.

  4. Don't take to short road- instead of looking for a new house with a bigger kitchen, keep the kitchen and just expand. An extra five feet can go a long way.Image title
